Introducing the Lynton Team
Nursery Directors – Emma Ward & Gary Ward
Emma and Gary originally set up Chiltern Nursery in Sutton in 2002 as they were unable to find a nursery that they liked for their own son. Fast forward a few years later they are now the directors of three nurseries.
Emma and Gary are very hands on, and spend time at all the settings during the week.
Nursery Manager – Jessica Baker
Jessica has been working for Chiltern Nurseries Ltd since May 2010 where she started at our Cheam nursery Glaisdale room leading the busy toddler room. In the October 2010 Jessica was promoted to manager of our Sutton nursery Chiltern, and was the manager during its 2014 Ofsted inspection where Chiltern gained its ‘outstanding’ grade.
In April 2015 Jessica transferred to our brand new nursery, Lynton House in Epsom as manager. In May 2016 she was the manager when Lynton House gained its Ofsted ‘outstanding’ grade during its first inspection.
Jessica is qualified to level 5 and is the nursery’s designated safeguarding lead for child protection, as well as the special educational needs and disabilities coordinator. She is first aid trained and has a food hygiene certificate.
Jessica recently became a mummy herself to her daughter in 2017.
Deputy Manager – Chloe Baxter
Chloe has been working with the company since 2008. She started at the nursery as a work placement student, working her way up to now deputy manager.
Chloe is a real example to all our staff that you can dream big and achieve higher.
Chloe has gained a huge amount of knowledge stepping into the nursery manager position to cover maternity leave. She is well equipped to support children with SEND and is also responsible for safeguarding.
Administrator – Karen Skelley
Karen started at Lynton House in March 2016 as nursery administrator to support Jessica and Chloe in the running of the nursery.
Training Academy Support – Nicola Kingston
Nicola initially worked at Glaisdale Nursery, since having her own daughter, she has since gained an assessor qualification and supports all the apprentices in gaining their qualification.
Room Leader – Charlotte
Charlotte has recently gained her level 3 qualification from college, finishing top of her class.
Charlotte is loving working with our toddlers and finding out their likes and dislikes.
Early Years Educator – Sophia
Sophia started with us in October 2015.
Sophia is level 3 qualified and has her first aid qualification.
Sophia job shares with Faye on a Wednesday-Friday.
Early Years Educator – Emma
This is Emma’s first childcare role since finishing college in June 2016.
Emma is level 3 qualified and is thriving in her role within the baby room.
Senior Early Years Educator – Faye
Faye started working at Lynton House in September 2015 after having her own son.
Faye is level 3 qualified and first aid trained. Faye works part time and supports our youngest nursery children. She is currently on maternity leave after welcoming her second child, a daughter.
Faye job shares with Sophia on a Monday-Wednesday.
Early Years Apprentice-Rebecca
Rebecca has now been with Lynton House since April 2019 within our Baby Room. Rebecca is currently undertaking her Level 3 Qualification and has flourished whilst working with the babies. Rebecca has supported all rooms within the nursery to support her knowledge and experience.
Room Leader – Shannon
Shannon is level 4 qualified and started with us at the end of 2015.
Shannon had been working in our preschool room as deputy manager since 2016 and has now taken on the role of room leader in our mini-tods room.
Deputy Room Leader – Annalise
Annalise started at Lynton House in May 2015.
Annalise has gained her Level 3 qualification in 2019 and has supported Shannon within her Deputy Role. Annalise has grown with Lynton House and has gained experience and worked with all age groups.
Early Years Educator – Loretta
Loretta started with us at Lynton House on our very first day of opening in April 2015.
Loretta is level 3 qualified, first aid trained and has a food hygiene certificate.
Early Years Assistant – Milly
Milly has recently gained her level 2 childcare qualification through our in house training. She is currently studying for her level 3 qualification.
Milly also has her first aid qualification.
Room Leader – Lorna
Lorna started at Lynton House in July 2016 having been at her previous nursery for many years. Lorna is level 3 qualified and has her Level 3 in Forest School. Lorna had her little girl in February 2018
Deputy Room Leader – Izzy
Izzy has been working at the nursery since January 2018 . Izzy has recently qualified as a level 3 early years educator and worked closely with Lorna and her team and progressed into her new role as Deputy Room Leader in January 2020.
Early Years Educator – Sam
This is Sam’s first role within a nursery and she couldn’t have found a more perfect role! Sam has gained her Level 3 qualification and has recently moved into our Oak Room using her extensive knowledge of working with 2-3 year olds.
Early Years Educator – Sean
Sean is the newest member of our team and is just about to start his level 3 qualification through our in house training academy.
Early Years Apprentice-Jessica
Jessica has now been with our Elm Room since August 2019 and is currently completing her Level 3 childcare qualification. Jessica studied Health and Social Care for 2 years prior to beginning her next journey with us here at Lynton House.
Early Years Apprentice – Eva
This is Eva’s first role working within a nursery envrionment.
Eva is currently studying her level 3 qualification through our training academy.
Early Years Assistant-Tabby
Tabby has previously worked in a Nursery environment and has worked at Lynton House since July 2019. Tabby works Monday-Thursday within our toddler room. On Friday’s Tabby works within the area of which her degree is in which is Fashion Communication.
Room Leader – Jessica
Jessica started with us at Lynton House is September 2015.
Jessica gained her degree from St Marys and is now running the preschool room.
Deputy Room Leader-Hannah
Hannah has worked within Chiltern Nurseries LTD since 2012 and has previously worked closely with Chloe within the toddler room at Glaisdale.
Hannah has also gained many years experience within the baby room and pre-school rooms at Glaisdale. Hannah joined our team at Lynton House naturally progressing into a Deputy Role. Hannah has a passion for working with the pre-school age group and incorporates her love for football into our Physical Activities.
Early Years Educator – James
James started at Lynton House in April 2017 after working out of the sector for the last year. James realised that he missed the buzz and fulfillment you receive from working with children and seeing them progress. James has great experience with pre-school age children and supporting their development for when they start school.
James holds an early childhood studies degree. He also assists weekly with our Forest School sessions after gaining his qualification in 2019.
Early Years Apprentice-Charlotte
Charlotte is undertaking her Level 3 qualification within our in house training programme and has been with the Lynton House team since August 2019.
Early Years Assistant-Coral
Coral works part time within our Pre-school room Monday-Wednesday.
Coral has previously worked in a nursery setting and runs her own hairdressing business from her home.
